The program moves from “King Kong,” “Idiot Bastard Son,” and “Twenty Small Cigars” to the 19-minute “Music For Electric Violin And Low Budget Orchestra.” That extended composition turns the album’s closing stretch into a showcase for Zappa’s orchestral writing and Ponty’s violin.

Collector Note
This 1993 US Blue Note CD reissue carries catalog number CDP 0777 7 89539 2 0 and was pressed by Capitol Jax.
