🎶 Vermont Artist Highlight: Tenderbellies 🎶

High-energy bluegrass, heartfelt storytelling, and the unmistakable sound of Vermont’s acoustic soul.

At Maple City Music, we celebrate the artists who shape our community. Today we honor Tenderbellies—a powerhouse Americana/bluegrass band blending fast picking, rich harmonies, and genre-crossing creativity. Their music is joyful, rooted, and deeply human. This is the sound of mountain nights, campfires, wide-open fields… this is Vermont.

🎵 Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Tenderbellies live between classic bluegrass and modern Americana, weaving together:

• Crisp acoustic instrumentation

• Tight, soulful harmonies

• Roots-based storytelling

• Jam-inspired improvisation

• True Vermont spirit

Their music is energetic, emotional, and unifying—inviting you to dance, sway, or soak in the moment.

🎤 A Pillar of the Vermont Scene

From Burlington bars to New England festivals, Tenderbellies have built a loyal following. Their shows are lively, warm, and full of connection. Whether they’re ripping a barn-burner or settling into a harmony-rich ballad, they bring pure joy to every stage.

🌲 The Sound of Home

Tenderbellies embody the heart of the Green Mountains—rugged, warm, communal. They carry Vermont’s identity in every note, grounded in authenticity and lifted by extraordinary musicianship.

🌄 Why Maple City Music Honors Them

Because they represent everything we believe in:

• Music that makes you feel alive

• Tradition carried forward

• Community built through sound

• Vermont artists who lift the soul

As Maple City Music grows toward our 2026 brick-and-mortar home—a space for music, healing, therapy, and veteran community—bands like Tenderbellies remind us why this mission matters.

🎶 Thank you, Tenderbellies, for bringing harmony, heart, and pure Vermont energy to our music scene.

Walter Byrne

Walter Byrne is the founder and heart behind Maple City Music, a passion-driven music boutique and cultural hub based in historic Saint Albans, Vermont. A retiring Master Sergeant with over 28 years of service in the U.S. Army, Walter brings the same dedication and community focus to Maple City Music that guided his military career.

Music isn’t just a business for Walter; it’s been a lifelong companion and source of rejuvenation. With a personal collection spanning thousands of records, cassettes, and CDs, he has always believed in the power of music to connect, heal, and inspire.

Maple City Music began as an online store featuring curated vinyl, rare recordings, and beloved classics for collectors and casual listeners alike. Now rooted in Saint Albans — known as the Maple Capital of New England — the shop reflects Walter’s vision of blending his love for music with community: a welcoming space for veterans, music lovers, and curious visitors along the I-89 corridor, including travelers from Canada and beyond.

More than a record store, Maple City Music is a community hub where stories are shared, connections are made, and the healing power of sound is celebrated. Whether you’re discovering a favorite album or enjoying a warm conversation over coffee, Walter and the team aim to make every visit meaningful.
