Artist of the Week at Maple City Music: The DuPont Brothers

At Maple City Music, we celebrate artists who embody authenticity, storytelling, and the unmistakable spirit of Vermont. This week, we're shining the spotlight on a truly homegrown treasure: The DuPont Brothers.

Born and raised in Burlington, Vermont, the sibling duo of Zack and Sam DuPont has been crafting intimate, indie-folk music that feels like a warm cup of coffee on a snowy morning in the North Country. Their harmonies are rich and emotional, the songwriting deliberate and full of depth, and their sound carries the same quiet beauty you find in a drive through the Green Mountains at sunrise.

The DuPont Brothers are known for weaving themes of home, family, resilience, and reflection into every track. Their albums โ€” including Making Due and A Riddle for You โ€” feature delicate acoustic arrangements layered with thoughtful lyricism. Whether they're playing a small venue in Burlington or performing in a living room session, their music brings people together in a way that aligns perfectly with our mission here at Maple City Music: connection, community, and the healing power of sound.

This week, we invite you to explore their catalog, discover new songs, or revisit favorites. If you're in Saint Albans, stop by and enjoy our curated in-store playlist featuring tracks like "Trespassers," "Long Haul," and "Riddle for You." Grab a coffee, browse the vinyl, chat with fellow music lovers โ€” and experience a little Vermont soul.

Walter Byrne

Walter Byrne is the founder and heart behind Maple City Music, a passion-driven music boutique and cultural hub based in historic Saint Albans, Vermont. A retiring Master Sergeant with over 28 years of service in the U.S. Army, Walter brings the same dedication and community focus to Maple City Music that guided his military career.

Music isnโ€™t just a business for Walter; itโ€™s been a lifelong companion and source of rejuvenation. With a personal collection spanning thousands of records, cassettes, and CDs, he has always believed in the power of music to connect, heal, and inspire.

Maple City Music began as an online store featuring curated vinyl, rare recordings, and beloved classics for collectors and casual listeners alike. Now rooted in Saint Albans โ€” known as the Maple Capital of New England โ€” the shop reflects Walterโ€™s vision of blending his love for music with community: a welcoming space for veterans, music lovers, and curious visitors along the I-89 corridor, including travelers from Canada and beyond.

More than a record store, Maple City Music is a community hub where stories are shared, connections are made, and the healing power of sound is celebrated. Whether youโ€™re discovering a favorite album or enjoying a warm conversation over coffee, Walter and the team aim to make every visit meaningful.
