A Flock Of Seagulls established the band’s synth-driven new wave sound in the U.S. and contains two of their best-known recordings, “I Ran” and “Space Age Love Song.” Produced primarily by Mike Howlett, the album combines synthesizers and processed guitar with the melodic approach that became closely associated with early-1980s new wave. “D.N.A.” earned the band a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance.
