Why This Record Matters
Listen is A Flock Of Seagulls’ second album and continued the electronic new wave and synth-pop direction established by their debut. Its centerpiece, “Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You),” became one of the band’s signature songs, while the album also includes “Nightmares,” “Transfer Affection,” and a new recording of “(It's Not Me) Talking.” Produced primarily by Mike Howlett, the album was recorded at Conny Plank’s studio in West Germany and mixed at Union Studios in Munich.

Collector Note
This 1983 U.S. stereo edition was issued by Jive/Arista as JL8-8013 and is identified as an RCA Records Pressing Plant, Indianapolis pressing. The supplied Side A runout identifies mastering at Frankford/Wayne Mastering Labs in New York and carries the ¢ etching associated with lacquer cutter Tom Coyne. This copy retains its original inner sleeve.
