Beauty Stab is ABC’s second studio album, following The Lexicon of Love and moving the group toward a more guitar-driven sound while retaining its synth-pop foundation. Produced by ABC and Gary Langan, the album features Martin Fry, Mark White, and Stephen Singleton alongside musicians including Andy Newmark and Alan Spenner. “That Was Then But This Is Now” and “S.O.S.” were released as singles from the album.
