Why This Record Matters
For Those About To Rock (We Salute You) followed Back in Black and continued AC/DC’s collaboration with producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange. The album opens with the title track, which became a longstanding part of the band’s catalog, and also includes “Let’s Get It Up,” “Put the Finger on You,” and “C.O.D.” Recorded in Paris, the album captures the Brian Johnson-era lineup during the band’s early-1980s commercial peak.

This 1981 U.S. Atlantic pressing carries catalog number SD 11111 and is identified as a Specialty Records Corporation pressing by the SP label suffix and the E A S T embossing associated with Specialty manufacture. Both supplied runouts contain stamped MASTERDISK and RL markings, confirming lacquers cut and mastered by Bob Ludwig at Masterdisk, while the EDP logo identifies metalwork processed at Europadisk. This copy is housed in the original embossed gatefold cover; the upper-left corner has a confirmed saw cut.
