Anonymous 4 – An English Ladymass (Medieval Chant And Polyphony) (CD, Album, 1992, Harmonia Mundi)

Why This CD Matters
Anonymous 4 presents 13th- and 14th-century English chant and polyphony honoring the Virgin Mary. The program reconstructs a complete Lady Mass through plainsong, motets, sequences, polyphonic songs, and liturgical settings performed by the ensemble’s original vocal lineup. Recorded at Skywalker Sound, it became the group’s debut album for Harmonia Mundi.
