The Bluegrass Sessions brings Béla Fleck together with a multigenerational group of bluegrass musicians including Earl Scruggs, John Hartford, Tony Rice, Jerry Douglas, Sam Bush, Stuart Duncan, and Vassar Clements. Fleck produced the album and plays banjo alongside Scruggs and Hartford, with material ranging from original compositions to traditional bluegrass repertoire. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album.
