Billy Joel – Cold Spring Harbor (LP, Album, Reissue, Carrollton Pressing, 1983, Columbia PC 38984)

Why This Record Matters
Cold Spring Harbor was Billy Joel’s debut solo album and introduced early compositions including “She’s Got A Way” and “Everybody Loves You Now,” which later gained wider recognition through Songs In The Attic. This 1983 edition replaced the incorrectly mastered 1971 release with a remixed, edited and speed-corrected presentation of the album.

Collector Note
1983 US Columbia reissue pressed at Columbia Records’ Carrollton, Georgia plant, identified by the “G1” markings in the runouts. Both sides were mastered at The Mastering Lab by Doug Sax and carry the “TML-S” mastering stamp.
