Black Rose – Black Rose (LP, Album, Specialty Pressing, 1980, Casablanca NBLP 7234)

Why This Record Matters
In 1980, Cher teamed up with guitarist Les Dudek to form Black Rose and pursue a rock direction. Released on Casablanca, the album was presented as a band project, with no mention of Cher on the front cover. Its melodic hard rock sound comes through on tracks like “Never Should’ve Started,” “Julie,” and “Young And Pretty.”
