Blondie – AutoAmerican (LP, Album, 1980, Chrysalis)

Why This Record Matters
AutoAmerican captures Blondie stretching beyond their early punk and new wave sound into reggae, disco, pop, and hip-hop. The album produced “The Tide Is High” and “Rapture”; the latter helped bring rap into mainstream pop.
