Blondie – Parallel Lines (LP, Album, Reissue, 1979, Chrysalis CHR 1192)

Why This Record Matters
Parallel Lines was Blondie’s commercial breakthrough, reaching No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 and No. 1 in the UK. Mike Chapman’s polished pop production frames the band’s new-wave sound alongside the disco crossover of “Heart Of Glass,” which became Blondie’s first US No. 1 single.

Collector Note
This 1979 US second pressing features the 5:50 “Heart Of Glass (Disco Version),” replacing the shorter version on the earlier issue. This copy includes its original printed lyric inner sleeve.
