Why This CD Matters
Boston’s 1976 debut became one of the defining albums of 1970s American rock, led by “More Than A Feeling,” “Peace Of Mind,” and “Foreplay / Long Time.” Tom Scholz wrote seven of the eight tracks and handled an extensive range of guitars, keyboards, bass, percussion, engineering, and production duties. Brad Delp supplied the lead and harmony vocals, while John Boylan and Scholz shared production credit.

This 1991 U.S. Epic CD reissue carries catalog number EK 34188 and barcode 074643418829. This identified early Sony-era repress was pressed at Columbia’s Pitman plant and is associated with the 1991–92 “CMU P” hub pattern without SID codes. The digitally mastered analog recording was issued with a black CD tray and four-page booklet containing notes and credits.
