Why This Record Matters
Boston’s 1976 debut became one of the most commercially successful debut albums of its era and includes “More Than A Feeling,” “Peace Of Mind,” and “Foreplay/Long Time.” Tom Scholz produced the album with John Boylan and played much of its guitar, keyboard, bass, and percussion instrumentation. Brad Delp supplied the lead and harmony vocals central to the album’s sound.

This 1976 U.S. Epic PE 34188 edition is a Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman pressing. The supplied runouts carry Wally Traugott’s “Wly” signature and the MASTERED BY CAPITOL stamp, identifying a Capitol-mastered lacquer cut by Traugott.
