Why This Record Matters
Sweet Unknown is Ceramic Animal’s fourth album, bringing together glam rock, post-punk, psychedelia, and ’70s pop. Dan Auerbach signed the Doylestown band to Easy Eye Sound and invited them to Nashville to write and record the album. “Tangled,” “I Love A Stranger,” and “Up in Smoke” show the record’s mix of guitar-driven pop and psychedelic textures.

Collector Note
This 2022 Easy Eye Sound LP is the limited-edition blue-smoke vinyl variant, catalog number EES-026. Dan Auerbach produced and mixed the album, Ryan Smith mastered it, and MPO pressed the record.
