Cher – Cher (LP, Album, Specialty Pressing, 1987, Geffen Records GHS 24164)

Why This Record Matters
Released in 1987, Cher’s self-titled album marked a shift toward a rock-oriented sound after she had focused on film. It includes “I Found Someone,” “We All Sleep Alone,” and a new version of her 1966 hit “Bang-Bang.” Michael Bolton, Jon Bon Jovi, and Desmond Child were among the notable figures behind the album’s production and songwriting.
