Cher – Prisoner (LP, Album, Stereo, Bestway Pressing, 1979, Casablanca NBLP 7184)

Why This Record Matters
Released later in 1979, Prisoner followed Cher’s disco success with Take Me Home while shifting toward a rockier sound. Its eight songs move from the roller-disco drive of “Hell On Wheels” to the theatrical rocker “Boys & Girls” and the sock-hop-flavored “Shoppin’.”

Collector Note
This US Casablanca NBLP 7184 copy is the Bestway pressing, identified by the “19” label code. It includes the original inner sleeve; this edition’s lyric inner is documented with an incorrect track list.
