Why This Record Matters
Crosby, Stills & Nash is the trio’s 1969 debut album and features “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” “Marrakesh Express,” “Wooden Ships,” and “Helplessly Hoping.” The record established the vocal-harmony sound associated with David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Graham Nash before Neil Young joined the group. The album was certified Gold in the U.S. in September 1969.
