Hunky Dory marked a major creative turning point for David Bowie, replacing the heavier sound of The Man Who Sold The World with melodic, piano-driven art rock. Featuring “Changes,” “Life On Mars?,” “Oh! You Pretty Things,” and “Queen Bitch,” the album introduced the musicians who would soon become the Spiders From Mars, with Rick Wakeman contributing piano.

Original 1971 US Indianapolis pressing on RCA Victor’s orange Dynaflex labels, identified by the stamped I in both runouts. This edition was issued in a textured sleeve with a sepia back cover and includes the original printed lyric inner sleeve.
