Dire Straits – ExtendeDancEPlay (Vinyl, 12", 33 ⅓ RPM, EP, 1983, Warner Bros. Records 0-29800, Specialty Pressing)

Why This Record Matters
ExtendeDancEPlay is a four-song Dire Straits EP recorded at Jam Studios in October 1982 between the albums Love Over Gold and Brothers in Arms. Mark Knopfler wrote and produced all four tracks, including “Twisting By The Pool,” while Terry Williams appears on drums during his early period with the band.

Collector Note
This 1983 U.S. Warner Bros. edition is a Specialty Records Corporation pressing, with SP in the runouts and E A S T embossed around the Side B spindle hole identifying the plant. Side A was lacquer cut at Masterdisk and carries the MASTERDISK RL signature of Bob Ludwig; the supplied Side B runout documents Allied and Sheffield Lab Matrix metalwork.
