Pictures At An Exhibition is Emerson, Lake & Palmer’s live adaptation of Modest Mussorgsky’s classical work, recorded at Newcastle City Hall on March 26, 1971. Keith Emerson arranged the material, Greg Lake produced the album, and Eddy Offord engineered the recording. The performance combines Mussorgsky compositions with original ELP material including “The Sage,” “Blues Variation,” and “The Curse Of Baba Yaga.”

This 1972 U.S. Cotillion ELP 66666 gatefold edition is a Specialty Records Corporation pressing, identified by the SP label matrices and SRC runout marking. The supplied Side A runout also carries George Piros’ AT/GP lacquer-cut identification, with Presswell metalwork indicated by PR.
