Everything But The Girl – Everything But The Girl (Vinyl, 1984, Sire 1-25212, US Compilation)

Why This Record Matters
This 1984 US release introduced Everything But The Girl’s early work to the American market, combining material from their UK debut Eden with additional singles and B-sides. Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt anchor the recordings, with Robin Millar producing and Johnny Marr contributing harmonica. The collection documents the duo’s early acoustic and pop-oriented sound before their later stylistic shifts.
