Flora Purim – Nothing Will Be As It Was...Tomorrow (CD, Album, Reissue, Remastered, Stereo, Milestone VICJ-61023)

Why This CD Matters
Flora Purim’s 1977 album brings her Brazilian-rooted vocals and percussion into a polished jazz fusion sound shaped by funk and Latin rhythms. Produced by Leon “Ndugu” Chancler, the sessions feature an expansive ensemble that includes George Duke, Jaco Pastorius, Airto Moreira, Herbie Hancock, and the Brecker brothers. Milton Nascimento’s title song and “Bridges” anchor the set in Brazilian songwriting, while “You Love Me Only” and “I’m Coming For Your Love” lean into jazz-funk.
