Why This Record Matters
Evening Star is Robert Fripp and Brian Eno’s second collaborative album, developing their tape-loop and processed-guitar experiments into music closely associated with the emergence of ambient music. Fripp’s guitar and Eno’s loops and synthesizer dominate the record, culminating in the nearly 28-minute “An Index Of Metals.”

Collector Note
US 1976 Antilles pressing manufactured at Columbia’s Terre Haute plant and mastered at Kendun Recorders. The AN-7018 runouts carry KENDUN identifiers on both sides, distinguishing this pressing from later Editions EG reissues.
