Why This CD Matters
We Can't Dance was the final Genesis studio album recorded by the long-running trio of Tony Banks, Phil Collins, and Mike Rutherford. It produced major singles including “No Son Of Mine,” “I Can't Dance,” “Hold On My Heart,” and “Jesus He Knows Me,” while longer pieces such as “Driving The Last Spike” and “Fading Lights” retained the band's progressive side. Genesis and engineer Nick Davis co-produced the album, which was recorded at the band's Farm studio in Surrey between March and September 1991.

This 1991 Atlantic edition, catalog number 7 82344-2, was issued for the US and Canadian market and pressed by Specialty Records Corporation. The confirmed Variant 1 matrix is ******************** 3 82344-2 SRC*08. ********************* M1S2, identifying this copy as an SRC-manufactured variation. This edition also uses the distinctive yellow CD face associated with this early North American issue.
