Why This Record Matters
L was Godley & Creme’s second album after leaving 10cc and continued the duo’s experimental approach to art rock and studio production. Lol Creme and Kevin Godley wrote and produced the album, which was recorded at Surrey Sound Studios in 1978. The seven-track album includes “The Sporting Life,” “Sandwiches Of You,” and the extended “Hit Factory / Business Is Business.”
