Survival is Grand Funk Railroad’s fourth studio album, produced by Terry Knight and recorded at Cleveland Recording Company. Alongside the band’s original material, it includes versions of Traffic’s “Feelin' Alright” and the Rolling Stones’ “Gimme Shelter.” The album continued the group’s early-1970s run of hard rock releases for Capitol Records.
