Andrew Davis and the Toronto Symphony’s recording of Holst’s The Planets won the 1986 Juno Award for Best Classical Album in the large-ensemble category. The seven-movement orchestral suite includes “Mars, The Bringer Of War” and “Jupiter, The Bringer Of Jollity,” two of Holst’s most recognized works.

This is the US Angel Records BMG club edition of the digitally recorded performance. The recording was made at Centre In The Square in Kitchener, Ontario, on January 20, 1986, with Anton Kwiatkowski serving as producer and engineer.
