Hildegard von Bingen – Jocelyn Montgomery With David Lynch – Lux Vivens (Living Light) (CD, Album, Enhanced, 1998, Mammoth Records)

Why This CD Matters
Lux Vivens reimagines the sacred music of 12th-century composer and mystic Hildegard von Bingen through Jocelyn Montgomery’s vocals and David Lynch’s atmospheric production. Medieval melodies are placed within ambient electronic arrangements, drones, percussion, and experimental textures, creating a distinctive meeting of early music and contemporary sound design.
