Ian Hunter – Strings Attached (DVD, DVD-Video, PAL, Album, Picture Format 4:3, Mercury 067 714-9)

Why This DVD Matters
Filmed at Oslo’s Sentrum Scene in January 2002, this concert presents Ian Hunter in a more acoustic setting, backed by the Trondheim Soloists string section. The set draws from his solo career and Mott the Hoople repertoire, including “I Wish I Was Your Mother,” “All The Young Dudes,” and “All The Way From Memphis.” The arrangements bring a chamber-like texture to Hunter’s rock songs while keeping his vocals and songwriting at the center.

Collector Note
This 2003 European Mercury DVD is the PAL release with catalog number 067 714-9. It documents the Oslo concerts and is the video counterpart to the separate two-CD release. This copy includes its booklet.
