INXS – Dekadance (12", EP, 1983, ATCO Records 90115-1-A)

Why This Record Matters
Released in 1983, this four-track U.S. EP presents extended and alternate versions of songs from Shabooh Shoobah. It captures INXS during the band’s early U.S. breakthrough: “The One Thing” reached the U.S. Top 30 and was the first INXS video shown on MTV. “Here Comes II” appears here in a new version alongside extended mixes of “Black and White,” “To Look at You,” and “The One Thing.”

Collector Note
This is the U.S. Specialty Records Corporation pressing, with SP label matrices and an SRC logo in the Side A runout. The Side A runout also carries MASTERDISK RL, identifying Robert Ludwig’s cut; the Side B runout is STC - 835280 - A 1-1. This four-track U.S. EP is distinct from the later Australian cassette collection also titled Dekadance.
