Greatest Hits gathers many of James Taylor’s best-known Warner-era recordings, including “Fire And Rain,” “Sweet Baby James,” “You've Got A Friend,” and “Mexico.” Originally compiled in 1976, it also includes updated recordings of “Something In The Way She Moves” and “Carolina In My Mind,” songs Taylor had first recorded for Apple Records. “Steamroller” appears here as a live performance.
