Why This CD Matters
Twentysomething helped bring Jamie Cullum’s piano-driven contemporary jazz to a wider American audience, combining original material with interpretations of jazz standards and modern pop songs. The 15-track U.S. edition includes Cullum’s versions of Jimi Hendrix’s “Wind Cries Mary,” Radiohead’s “High And Dry,” and Jeff Buckley’s “Lover, You Should Have Come Over.” Stewart Levine produced the album, with Cullum handling vocals, piano, and arrangements alongside bassist and arranger Geoff Gascoyne.

This 2004 U.S. Verve Records/Candid CD carries catalog number B0002273-02 and barcode 602498176757. The disc was made by UML, with the recordings mastered by Bernie Grundman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. This U.S. edition contains 15 tracks, including the closing “Frontin’,” recorded live for BBC Radio 1.
