Why This Record Matters
Blow By Blow was Jeff Beck’s first fully instrumental solo album and became one of the most commercially successful jazz-rock fusion records of the 1970s. Produced by George Martin, it pairs Beck with Max Middleton, Phil Chen, and Richard Bailey and includes “Freeway Jam,” “Scatterbrain,” and Stevie Wonder’s “Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers.” The album became Beck’s highest-charting US release and was certified platinum.

Collector Note
This 1975 US Epic PE 33409 edition was pressed at Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman, identified by the stamped P in both supplied runouts. The variant 4 matrices use a 1D cut on side A and 1E cut on side B. George Martin produced the album and also provided orchestration.
