Why This Record Matters
Back To The Night was Joan Armatrading’s second studio album and her first album for A&M Records. Produced by Pete Gage, it documents the period immediately before her 1976 self-titled album brought her wider recognition. Armatrading wrote and arranged the material, with Pam Nestor sharing writing credit on “Dry Land” and “Come When You Need Me.”
