Joe Jackson Band – Beat Crazy (LP, Album, Stereo, Pitman Pressing, 1980, A&M Records)

Why This Record Matters
Beat Crazy was the third Joe Jackson album and the only one credited directly to the Joe Jackson Band during its original run. The record expands the band’s sharp new-wave sound with prominent ska and reggae rhythms while retaining the original lineup of Jackson, Graham Maby, Gary Sanford, and Dave Houghton.

Collector Note
This 1980 US A&M Records edition was pressed at Columbia Records Pressing Plant in Pitman, identified by the “X” plant code on its labels. Recorded at Basing Street Studios in London, it was issued with a printed inner sleeve containing credits and lyrics.
