This June 1982 US A&M Records edition was issued under catalog number SP-4906 in a gatefold jacket and pressed by Europadisk. The supplied runouts, SPO 4906 A RE1 GD3 IAM RD and SPO 4906 B" GD2 IAM RD [EDP logo], identify the Europadisk pressing, while the “RD” inscriptions correspond to the credited lacquer cutter; lacquer cutting was performed at International Automated Media. Recorded at Blue Rock Studio in Soho during spring 1982, this pressing presents Jackson’s deliberately structured “Night Side” and “Day Side” program across the two sides of the LP.
