Why This CD Matters
Rain reunited Joe Jackson with longtime collaborators Graham Maby on bass and Dave Houghton on drums, creating a stripped-down piano-bass-drums trio centered on Jackson’s songwriting and keyboard work. Recorded in Berlin and produced by Jackson, the ten-song album includes “Invisible Man,” “The Uptown Train,” “Solo (So Low),” and “A Place In The Rain.” The album reached No. 154 on the Billboard 200 and continued the renewed collaboration with Maby and Houghton that followed 2003’s Volume 4.
