Johnny Winter – Second Winter (2 x Vinyl, LP, Album, Stereo, 1969, Columbia KCS 9947 / JW 1, Pitman Pressing)

Why This Record Matters
Second Winter was Johnny Winter's second Columbia album and followed his self-titled 1969 major-label debut. The three-sided program combines Winter originals with interpretations of “Johnny B. Goode,” “Highway 61 Revisited,” “Slippin' And Slidin'” and other blues and rock material. Johnny Winter produced the album and was joined by Edgar Winter, Tommy Shannon and “Uncle” John Turner, with the unusual second disc devoted to music on only one side.
