Nonstop Motion is Julian Calv’s debut full-length album, combining his original compositions with works by 20th-century American composer Moondog. Calv studied Moondog’s musical approach with Stefan Lakatos, and the album extends that lineage through the use of the timbale, piano, voice, percussion, canons, and repeating rhythmic structures. The nine-track program includes previously unrecorded Moondog piano canons alongside Calv’s own compositions.
