Why This Record Matters
Before stepping forward as a recording artist, Kendell Marvel wrote songs recorded by Nashville country artists including George Strait, Gary Allan, and Chris Stapleton. On Solid Gold Sounds, he brings that songwriting background to a roots-focused set, with “Hard Time With The Truth” and “Cadillac’n” among its standout tracks. Dan Auerbach and David Ferguson co-produced the album at Easy Eye Sound in Nashville.
