Why This CD Matters
Homecoming reunited Vermont jazz-fusion group Kilimanjaro following two sold-out performances at the 2006 Discover Jazz Festival, leading to nine new compositions and a two-year recording project. The album features founding members Paul Asbell, Chas Eller, Tony Markellis, and Lucas Adler with guests including Lenny Castro, Jennifer Hartswick, Will Galison, Dave Grippo, and Michael Zsoldos. Homecoming subsequently received national recognition when Jazziz selected it for its Best of 2009 collection.

Collector Note
This 2008 CD was independently issued by Kilimanjaro Jazz with catalog number KJ101, documenting the Vermont group's return to recording after its earlier releases for Philo. Homecoming was recorded and mixed at Charles Eller Studios in Charlotte, Vermont, with Chas Eller and Paul Asbell producing. Scott Hull mastered the album at Scott Hull Mastering in New York, while additional percussion was recorded at NRS Recording in Catskill.
