Kitaro – The Light Of The Spirit (CD Album, BMG Club Edition, 1987, Geffen Records 9 24163-2)

Why This CD Matters
The Light Of The Spirit pairs Kitaro’s atmospheric synthesizer work with flute, violin, mandolin, guitars, percussion, and vocals. Co-produced by Grateful Dead percussionist Mickey Hart, the album features contributions from David Grisman, Zakir Hussain, Bobby Vega, and other accomplished musicians. Its blend of electronic textures and acoustic instrumentation represents Kitaro’s expansive late-1980s sound.
