Ladytron – 604 (CD, Album, Emperor Norton EMN7037-2)

Why This CD Matters
604 is Ladytron’s debut album, pairing vintage synthesizers and drum-machine rhythms with new wave, electronic pop, and contrasting vocal styles. Songs such as “Discotraxx,” “Playgirl,” and “He Took Her To A Movie” show the album’s mix of danceable pop hooks and darker electronic textures. The band has described the record as a distinctive sound that did not simply follow the musical trends of its time.

Collector Note
This is the 2001 US CD on Emperor Norton, catalog number EMN7037-2, with the original 16-track sequence. The later US expanded CD edition added bonus tracks and has a different catalog number.
