Lene Lovich – Stateless...Plus (CD, Album, Remastered, Rhino Records R2 70520 / Oval R2 70520)

Why This CD Matters
Stateless captures Lene Lovich’s theatrical strain of late-1970s new wave, pairing unconventional vocals with sharp, hook-driven pop. “Lucky Number” became her breakthrough hit, while “Say When” and “I Think We’re Alone Now” show the album’s mix of eccentric performance and pop songwriting. This edition adds six tracks that expand the album with related singles and alternate material.

Collector Note
This 1991 US Rhino and Oval CD reissue, catalog R2 70520, follows the original eleven-track album with six bonus tracks. The additional material includes “Be Stiff,” “One Lonely Heart,” “Big Bird,” “The Fall,” “Blue,” and the Japanese version of “I Think We’re Alone Now.” It is a remastered CD edition of the album, distinct from the original 1978 Stiff release.
