Why This CD Matters
Latin was the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet’s first Telarc album and received a Grammy nomination. Its program explores Latin and Latin-influenced classical guitar repertoire through music by Astor Piazzolla, Leo Brouwer, Aaron Copland, Georges Bizet, Joaquín Rodrigo and quartet member Andrew York. The repertoire includes the quartet’s arrangement of Bizet’s Carmen Suite and York’s Syzygy, featuring flutist James Walker.

This 2002 US Telarc release carries catalog number CD-80593 and barcode 089408059322. The album features guitarists John Dearman, William Kanengiser, Scott Tennant and Andrew York and was recorded at O'Henry Studios in Burbank, California, in December 2001.
