Why This CD Matters
Street Survivors was Lynyrd Skynyrd’s fifth studio album and the final studio album released during Ronnie Van Zant’s lifetime. The eight-track program includes “What's Your Name,” “That Smell,” “You Got That Right,” and “I Know A Little,” with Steve Gaines contributing guitar and vocals alongside Allen Collins and Gary Rossington. Tom Dowd produced seven of the eight tracks, while “One More Time” was produced by Jimmy Johnson and Tim Smith.
