This two-disc Telarc collection pairs pianist John O'Conor with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra under noted Mozart conductor Sir Charles Mackerras for four of Mozart's mature piano concertos. The program spans the contrasting No. 17 in G major, No. 20 in D minor, No. 22 in E-flat major, and No. 24 in C minor. Recorded in Glasgow in 1991, the performances bring together O'Conor, Mackerras, producer James Mallinson, and longtime Telarc engineer Jack Renner.

Issued in 2008 as part of Telarc's Everybody's Classics series, this US two-CD set carries catalog number 2CD-80733. The recordings were made at City Halls in Glasgow from October 28–31, 1991, with the two discs identified by matrices DIDX-136634 1 and DIDX-136635 1. It's a substantial Mozart program in a compact Telarc reissue, collecting four complete concertos and more than two hours of music.
