New Musik – Sanctuary (Vinyl, LP, Compilation, Terre Haute Pressing, 1981, Epic NFE 37314)

Why This Record Matters
Sanctuary is a 1981 U.S.-only compilation, bringing together selections from New Musik’s first two albums, From A to B and Anywhere. Tony Mansfield wrote and produced the band’s synth-pop, and this set includes the singles “Sanctuary” and “This World of Water” alongside album tracks such as “Areas” and “Dead Fish (Don’t Swim Home).” Its U.S.-only release makes it a distinct entry in the band’s early catalog.

Collector Note
This U.S. Epic compilation was released in 1981 as NFE 37314. The Terre Haute pressing’s supplied runouts include “COLUMBIA NY” and a “T1” marking.
